Your arms hanging limp at your sides
Your legs got nothing to do
Some machine's doing that for you
In the year 6565
Ain't gonna need no husband
Won't need no wife
You'll pick your son
Pick your daughter too
From the bottom of a long glass tube
In the year 7510
If God's a-coming
He oughta make it by then
Maybe He'll look
round Himself and say
Guess it's time for the judgement day
In the year 8510
God is gonna shake his mighty head
He'll either say
I'm pleased where man has been
Or tear it down, and start again
In the year 9595
I'm kinda wondering
If man is gonna be alive
He's taken everything
this old earth can give
And he ain't put back nothing
Now it's been 10,000 years
Man has cried a billion tears
For what he never knew
Now man's reign is through
But through eternal night
The twinkling of starlight

진실을 말할 필요도
거짓을 말할 필요도 없어요
모든 사고와 행동과 말이
그 날 복용한 알약에 담겨 있으니까요

이도 필요 없고

씹어 먹을 필요도 없어요
아무도 당신을 쳐다보지 않아요

팔은 허리춤에 축 늘어지고
다리 품을 팔 일도 없어요
기계가 대신해주니까요
서기 6565년에는
남편도 필요 없고
아내도 필요 없어요
기다란 유리관 아래서
아들이나 딸을
집어 오면 되니까요
서기 7510년에
하느님께서 재림하신다면
(그 때까지는 꼭 재림하셔야죠)
주위를 둘러 보시고
이제 심판의 날이 왔다고
말씀하실 거에요
서기 8510년에
하느님께서는 머리를 흔드시며
인간의 과거 모습이
더 좋았다고 말씀하실 거에요
아니면 세상을 휩쓸고 재창조 하시겠죠
서기 9595년에도
인간이 그대로 살고 있을지
난 궁금해요
지구의 혜택을
인간이 모두 착취하고
되돌려 준 것은 아무 것도 없어요
이제 서기 만년이 되어
깨닫지 못한 걸 후회하며
인간은 하염없는 눈물을 흘려요
인간의 지배는 종식되었지만
그 장대한 세월 속에서도
저 멀리 별들은
아무일 없었다는 듯
아직도 반짝거려요
서기 2525년에
사람들이 여전히 살아 있다면
